We're an independent game design studio based in the UK, featuring a global team. At the heart of our operations are the values of Growth, Communication, and Passion, which influence everything we do.
We offer guidance to aspiring and passionate game developers through our work experience programs, ranging from 2 weeks to 6 months with flexible, no-minimum-hour schedules. It's world-wide, so even if you are outside of the UK, you are welcome to apply!
We aim to provide meaningful opportunities for growth and learning in the field of games.
This opportunity is completely unpaid—and we recognise that might be a deal breaker. However, as a fully independent studio, we're focused on growth, both ours and yours. What do I get from the work experience programme?
Our studio pillars heavily emphasise Growth- within SPG and in your Career! We provide meaningful tasks that support your growth and allow you to practice your skills alongside a multi-faceted game design studio. We use industry-standard tools and development approaches to ensure that you gain real-world experience and familiarity with the processes that drive successful projects.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How long does the work experience last?
For typical applications, a minimum commitment of 2 weeks is expected! After the two weeks, if both parties would like to continue, we can extend the work experience duration potentially up to several months. We can also align the work experience with the length of educational requirements.
Do I need to sign an NDA?
No! You are free to share your work at any time on any suitable platform, as we believe in promoting transparency and helping you build a public portfolio that can aid in your career development.
*33 of 40 work experience members have stayed past the two-week review period.
**Average Period of Work Experience so far across all members is 3 months.
